scooby written off or repairable? PICS ADDED
just took my car for a quick blast and the bonnet has just came through the windscreen and fcuked the bonnet. its also dented the roof along top of the windscreen, it just seems to be a roof skin thats damaged, along the top of the windscreen is still in its original shape.
what i need to find out asap is if its just a roof skin thats needed or if it can be pushed out and filled?
if i go through insurance i can see it being classed as a write off as the cars a 95 wrx and doubt its book price is too high.
any help would be great guys

You need to take it to a good bodyshop that is NOT connected to a main dealer for some impartial advice. If you are fully comp and go with the insurance then I expect you are right and it'll be deemed uneconomic to repair. But from the pictures to be used it obviously needs a new windscreen and if the screen will go in without leaking then it can be a runner again - you don't need to do anything with the roof, but if the screen fits OK then a bodyshop can fill and respray the roof to match. And another bonnet if that ones US.
Find a bodyshop and see what your options are.

i wouldnt class that as written off. you can get a new windscreen through your insurance depending on the cover you have. check the shell bar which runs under that area. to do this you would need to take some of the roof interior off. if all looks good. then a good body shop can fix it and spray and it wont cost you allot. as it is a fill and spray job. you can get a new bonnet from ebay or a breakers yard. hope that helps

i mean it was only the bonnet that swung open and hit the roof so its not bent any of the structure just dented everything! if i rolled the car it would of been a different story lol. only problem is gettin it to a bodyshop with a windscreen like that lol

would shock you how little it takes to write off a car these days had the same thing happen to me with a pulsar GTIR,them vents catch a lot of air, police passed as i was trying to peel the bonnet back off the roof i just kicked the screen out flung what was left in the boot and drove to teh windscreen place, dunno the legalities of that tho

It probably worthwhile taking it to a decent Paintless Dent Repairer, if they cant get it out completely, they could get it to a stage where it can be painted without masses of filler under the paintwork. They also do mobile service so it wont matter about the windscreen.
