Default Oil temp gauge fitting

A search returned no hits at all for the above! Maybe its not working.

Anyway, Oil temp I guess I will need a sandwich adapter or something for this one? Its not like the oil pressure fitting already being there on a classic, is it?

Yeah there is a port you can use at the back left of the block. It has an allen key fitment head on the bolt. Directly above cylinder number 3

Have a look here https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...er-gauges.html 1st thread.

Gaugeplace are doing us a deal on the adaptor kit for the oil senders £25 much better than a sandwich plate. Just contact them direct to get the discount

The oil pressure port is under the alternator. The generally recommended best place for oil temp is the port above no.3 cylinder (just about under the intercooler). It is blanked off as standard so you need to buy an adaptor like this : Ebay link

Not too expensive

Ah OK, thanks guys.
I knew about the OE oil pressure switch can be used, but didn't know there was an option to utilise a standard opening for the temp too.
Thanks again.
