Default Gearbox Replacement

URGENT

Hi,i have just been informed by a reputable specialist garage, that my gearbox has several stripped teeth on one of the gears.

I have a uk turbo 2000 MY98 with a gearbox code of TY752VN6AA, i have seen a gearbox for sale from a uk turbo 2000 MY2000 X reg with a code of
TY754VN1AA and wondered if it would be campatable for a straight swop,or if there were any gearboxes other than my own code which would be compatable ?

That will fit straight on.

The 754 boxes are considered to be better than the earlier 752 boxes. If the 752 and 754 boxes have the VN in its code, it means it has a 3.9 front diff and 1.1:1 drop gears - I.e compatible with yours.

Yes Jay is correct, it is a straight swap.
