hi guys i'm gonna buy a set of ported and polished heads from a v2 sti (pending pics) and was wondering if anyone knows what sort of power i could get from these with a forged cdb and supporting upgrades?

also can anyone tell me the codes of the parts fitted to v2 sti heads so i can make sure they are genuine? (not implying someone is selling fake heads but better safe than sorry)

 

these are the heads that i've been offered and am gonna pay for them if anyone can confirm that they are sti heads and that they have been ported and polished

the seller is a user of this forum and dont mean any disrespect by asking if they are real as i just dont know what i'd be looking for. i read a post on here the other night of someone who bought a so called sti head but was just sti cams fitted to a wrx head. (dont wanna be on the same boat)

so can anyone confirm or tell me what sort of things i should be looking for?

Definately been ported and polished doesn't look like to badder job !!

 

and its deffo the sti cams lol. but i believe that sti heads have under bucket shims or summit like that? can you tell that from the pics?

 

My old sti v2 heads had hydraulic tappets. Its the sti ra v2 that have the underbucket shims.

As Ticky said,
STi V2 have Hydraulic Tappets.
STi V2 RA have Top Hat Inner Shims.
You would have to measure the lift of the cams to see what they were.

 

those cams look like the standard WRX, could possibly be WRX heads .v2 RA have shimmed tappets
