Default Help - possible subaru purchase

Guys,

Am thinking of purchasing a 2007 Sti hawk eye but the problem is i really dislike the sound of the boxer engine once you start putting true 76mm exhaust piping on them.

Does anyone have opinions on how to achieve true induction/exhaust performance without the excessive and 'LOUD' tell tale 'bub bub bub' (excuse my feeble attempt there) but perhaps more that of a standard 4-pot note, such as my current ride.

Genuine answers would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can change the headers for more equal length ones that will do away with the burble. There are some really good quality systems that arnt all that loud. Hayward and scott have a fantastic reputation and I run a full H&S system on mine. It has a resonated centre section to keep noice levels under control.

Mmmm, I know what you mean about the headers and then I think its just matter of heading to some shows and see whats out there.

Thanks for your input.

equal lenghth headers should sort it out. and if upgrading the exahst to full 3" get a back box with a small tail pipe. itl roar rather than burble
