Default Oh bugger...

The missus asked if I could put the bung in my Ninja 2 backbox as she uses the car for work, and now I can't get the bloody thing out!
It is well and truly wedged in, anyone got any tips for getting it out?
Cheers
Weso

Good point well made.
Couldn't work out whether it should be easier hot or cold
I'll give it a go tomorrow after a run.

OK guys, tried to get it out today after an hours drive but it absolutely won't budge! it has now moved back so where the bolt goes is about 1" further back than the hole it lines up with (I never put the bolt in as I wasn't going to leave it in!)
Anyone got any other ideas?
Cheers

i use to use my mag light in the bung in the nur spec, move it just enough to losen it, then it will come out.

then get a cloth to use to get extra grip on the bung

hope it helps

Tie a loose slip knot in a length of strong rope and place around the wife's neck, attaching the other end to the bung. Start the engine and rev to 5k, slipping your foot off the clutch in 2nd. This should sort out the first part of the problem. Now we've just got to get the bung out

I've managed to convince the wife it makes almost no difference, hence why I now have permission to take it back out if I could!

DaOne, talk me through how you used to get yours out again?

Cheers chaps

not had this problem as don't use a bung but this is what i'd do spray some lube( wd40 or super lube) around it to help it slide more then tie some string around a 2inch peice of metal then poke it down the bung til its dropped free of the bung. it should then when you pull it back towards you catch on the bung pipe giving you some leverage from the back of it. then place a crow bar or big screw driver in pipe and wiggle that while pulling string should help it out
