Noticed today that mine hit max boost at around 2600 rpm (1bar indicated) in fifth.

Anyone else know when theirs hits max. I'd like some idea if mine is fast/slow spooling.

it should in theory be the same in all gears, 1bar a 2600 is pretty good.

IIRC cars running the std factory map have different boost targets and rate of climb depending on the gear you're in mate. This can be altered using the in gear boost compensation facility in the new age ECUs or with AVCR or some aftermarket ECUs.

The spool rpm will be the same in each gear, but the lag is a fixed time and engine acceleration is faster in lower gears, so peak boost rpm will be different in different gears...

To make the answers worthwhile they need to mention capacity and turbo...2500/2600 rpm is about right for a TD04 on a 2litre.

I'll just add 1900rpm (3rd), 1700rpm (fifth) into the pot (TF035-6 on a 2litre)
