put engine in with with out turbo ???
as om of you might have seen i have my wagon project with a cdb going in as i have now got my clutch and flywheel to go in , i have been advised by my mate not to put the engine in but i just want to get the ball roling and get my car looking like a car again , so how hard is it to fit the turbo with the engine in ?

Not hard at all mate, just much easier to do it on the stand. Oil drain can be fiddly when fitting it in situe. But its no hardship if youre a competent mechanic and dont mind a little awkward job.
Hell, do you think tuning companies take the engine out to do a turbo swap?

It's better to do out of the car. I'd do as much as possible on a stand,so i knew it was good before putting it in,also save time in the long run.
If you've not got the turbo or some bits to fit it yet, then it would make sense to fit the engine now,to save waiting about.

i know its easyier but if it is a forget it kind of thing i wouldnt bother at all , i just want to start building it back up untill i can afford the turbo unless i can get a free td05 20g pmsl .
