Default Problems fitting manifold with spacers

I tried fitting my manifold with the spacers yesterday and it was went ****, part of my wishes i never started the moddifying now!

The inlet pipe didn't seem to line up with the inlet and was sitting too hight, which iwouls assume is because it was 10mm higher with the spacers.

has anyone else had this problem? And although i got the pipe over the inlet, it seem like the pipe was too large and would not be air tight, even with a jubilee clip.

Not sure if this was because of the angle the pipe was at due to the elevated manifold? But would the spacers REALLY manke that much difference!?

i wouldn't have thought they would?

Any tips or experience to be shared, please do so...
