Problems Starting from Warm!?
Its fine when I start from cold, first time no struggles, but once it has even had 2 mins to warm up, or after a short drive, unless engine is completely cold, it doesn't want to go!
Ive replaced both Cam & Crank sensors, albeit with second hand replacements, still no difference. I have even changed them back and alternated. MAF has been replaced. Starting to run out of ideas now. No CEL light on
Would the coolant temp sensor cause this?
Thanks

well the temp gauge works fine! I just did a re-build for HG failure and had overheating probs so fitted new rad and its beautiful so I know that its reading right.
Silly question! Whats the ect sensor? Engine coolant temp!?

temperature gauge in dash remains at same point over a very large temperature range, doesnt give any proper indication at all.
as simon has pointed out if cam and crank are definatlely good then i would say coolant temp sensor.
had a problem exactly like this years ago on a leggacy and it was crank sensor.
edit: oh also there are two temp sensors, one for gauge and one for ecu.

two sensors! the only one i knew of is the one beneath the manifold on the left hand side, which i think is going to be right aggro to get to. Can you tell me where the other one is!?
Thanks

there are two as said right next soor to each other in trhe water crosspipe.
spade connector one is dash gauge, and yes a bitch to get to
as you have just rebuilt - unplug and replug the engine loom to check for good connections and check the engine ground is good

they are side by side on mine (phase 1.5). dont worry about gauge one its only for gauge and is single wire only. If you are having probs starting it would be ecu one which has two wires going to it and you have right location for it from desciption.
