Default tesco petrol

I filled my 2001 wrx ppp bugeye with a tank of tesco 97 octane. It will not run smoothly now. I am half way through my second tank of shell v power now and things have improved a bit but its still not right. How long should it take to get back to full performance. Should and how do I do a software reset on my bugeye.

I think you should have used Tesco 99 instead.

If you reset the ecu then this may speed things up a bit

Either that or it's a coincidence that something else has gone wrong.
