Default Downpipe... do i need car mapped??

Hey all

i'm blonde and no zero about cars..... please give me advice..

I recently bought a downpipe for my 1999 classic UK Turbo....

i got a new back box last month and got all pipework changed to 3".. so now ive got a 3" downpipe to finish it all off and get it de-catted etc.

So the question is .. do i need to get my car mapped after the downpipe is fitted? Currently its over fuelling quite badly but i was told this is ok...

Any ideas/advice welcome

Thanks

L

ecutek is about £500+ remap but to get the best out of the change of exhaust it would, imo, be best.

definatly recomend getting it remaped if youve fully decatted, this will bring out the most gains ie more bhp. you will more than likley get over boost if you dont remap which isnt the best thing to have..plus over fueling.

how come you went for 3" and not a 2.5 system anyway?

Nope. You don't need a remap.

I would personally fit a AE800 ECU (if you don't already have one) and a boost controller (dawes).

Also the Y-pipe on that TMIC is a bit restrictive and would be better off with a Samco or STi pipe.

Then just have it checked for det/fueling for £50 at a RR and you'll get a power run too

Most per £
