could anyone give me information on how to increase my boost pressure without breaking the bank or the car ,my car is a 02 wrx and is pretty much standard other than the cobra back box K&N panel filter and bailey dump valve .When kicking in the turbo the boost only goes up to 0.5 bar (is this correct).
also how would i get better acceleration would i need to remap the ECU or is there another way

0.5 bar is very low imo.
I would suggest finding out why it has this boost pressure first.

Has it been decatted yet mate,that will free it up abit, also you will be surprised how upgrading you suspension and brakes can make the car feel quicker! supose you might have to break the bank for that tho mate

Is it plumbed in properly ?

Does the needle move smoothly, or does it jerk back & forth ?

Low for a WRX tho'.

Proper job, is a re-map, cowboy mod fit a manual boost controller and crank it up till it pops ! No doubt someone will be along in a minute who's running 400 bhp with just such a mod !

thanks for all your replies, the answers to your questions are no i havent decated i thought this would affected the emissions ,a guy at work mentioned this ,would i have to fully decat the exhaust or just part of it and which part?

i haven't thought about uprating the suspension at this time but i am looking into uprating the brakes.

the needle on the boost gauge seems to bounce as the turbo starts to kick in then it seems to smooth out as it approaches 0.5 bar
