Default ECU Reset -- Remove Battery

to reset the ECU by disconecting the battery how long does it take?

roughly -- if i do it now, when will it be reset, later tonight or tomorrow morning?

also will it f8ck the Sigam Alarm up

MY99 Classic BTW

you can reset the ecu by looking on here www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk (on his help pages).
When i disconnected the battery i've left it for a few hours.

don't know about the alarm though as mine is an aftermarket jobbie and gets put into 'valet mode' before i disconnect the battery.

yeah I tried that route -- but cant for the life of me find those wires

Those wires are their fella usually taped up and hidden right up on top of the steering column.

i did a ecu reset no codes came back etc,,, what does it actually do??? really

well if you reset the ecu then no codes will show up as you've wiped then.
did you mean to read the ecu codes?

i didnt have any fault codes in first place, i just wanted to see if it helped with the running of the car

Ahhh ok basically it won't generally improve the running of the car simply because it is running the car as well as it can.
