Lamba sensor blocks headers collector outlet

Lamba sensor blocks headers collector outlet
About to fit a Gruppe S exhaust manifold (header) nicely blended to my up-pipe and notice that the Lambda quite badly blocks one of the upper outlets, see picture.
I guess I am stuck with this as there is little metal to ease away around it. Welding on a bulge seems a bit over the top.
I am sure I have seen a Lambda with a smaller container, rounded at the end, which would be better. Can anyone suggest a better (smaller) Lambda? I am sure all you expert tuners have come across this? Size is 20mm long by 12mm diameter.
Car is a 2001 Bugeye JDM STi.
Thanks,
Neil

New Age WRX and STi is O/E located in the collector as per photo.
Same for O/E M/Y 93-96 although they have bulbous design of headers.
It is VERY unlikely the lambda sensor makes any discernable difference to gas flow/power.

Be warned that the end of my lambda sensor came off and lunched itself into my nice shiney turbo last month => dead turbo.
If you really need one there use an Innovate HBX-1 isolator to protect the lambda sensor from excess heat.

Thanks Harvey, incidentally the blending inside the collector exit to narrow it down is intended to mate to one of your 47mm up-pipes, thence to a TD05/6-18g.
