Help from ECU people & mapping people...
I've got a 2007 STi running the following performance spec:
3" Turbo Back Exhaust
Green Panel Filter & resonator removal
Walboro 255lp/hr
EcuTek Custom Re-Map from Andy Forrest
Now I have my car up for sale and the garage I bought the car from brand new offered to put it up for sale on a 'sale or return' basis but after a couple of weeks and a weird phonecall from a salesman asking how easy it could be returned to standard its now sitting back on my driveway thankfully. However, I think the garage have had a pop at removing the re-map parameters while its been in there because if left for any significant amount of time the car drives a bit roughly and only produces standard boost. After an ECU re-set the car re-learns the map and boosts properly, however I'm scared to drive it on boost as I dunno what everything else is doing.
If I re-set the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 15mins, the car drives as-per the re-map.. c1.6bar on the Defi Gauge, strong midrange pull etc etc.... now, if I take car home and leave it overnight and go out to drive it, the car feels 'shaky' and doesnt rev or drive very nicely, if I give it any meaningful amount of throttle then the car just feels lazy, builds boost slowly and hits a peak of around 1.0bar on the Defi Gauge.
Now, I think I am right in thinking that the standard STi produces around 1.0bar peak boost and with the phonecall saying that the prospective buyer was wanting the map removed, has led me to believe that they've had a go at re-setting the ecu using a select monitor? Is this possible?
I'm really not happy about it and want to know what people on here think before I book into Andy F to get him to check it.... I hope he'll be able to check who's been in and whats been done and if I am told that its been fiddled with then I'll be going straight back to the Subaru Dealer to kick up hell and wont hesitate in naming and shaming them in the community.
Cheers,
Grant

Nah, I got it back dead empty.. filled it with near on 70 quids worth of v-power at the Shell Garage next door. Used that up, and have just put a fresh tank of v-power in it again and its still doing the same thing, so not sure its fuel unless I've been really unlucky with two bad batches of fuel from garages 60 miles apart.
I'll have a poke around and see if I can spot an air leak or split pipe.. but surely it would show itself both before and after the ECU re-set and there wouldn't be a noticeable difference in the way the car drives and the boost levels it reaches??
Thanks for the advice so far... appreciate it.
