Twin scroll engine to replace WRX engine
Hi all,
This is my first post on here, I can get hold of a Twin scroll engine with very low miles.
would there be any major difficulties swapping it with the WRX engine?
I understand the Twinscroll setup is different it comes with headers, turbo and downpipe so that bit is fine.
I also understand that I may need a new ecu or is the WRX one sufficient with a re-map? If not will I need a JDM STI ecu or is a UK spec one ok?
If there is anything else you can think of please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Andy

You will not be able to use the heads from the new engine as if its from a twin scroll car its an STI engine with AVCS haeds and yours isn't The twin scroll is only for the turbo and nothing to do with the engine.

if you get the ecu and wiring loom you can use the lot.. but this may alsio require clocks etc..
the bottom end as said will go straight in but you should get it checked or remapped as compression maybe altered.
the twin scroll complete set up is excellent but it might be less hassle to just buy a twin scroll car etc..
