Default power steering leaky o-ring, how do you fit

as above really, the new o ring arrived, where exactly does it go, and how much do you have to take off to replace it?

does the whole power steering pump need to come off? and where exactly does the o-ring go?
and ive never done this job before, im guessing ill pretty much looses all the fluid in the reservoir at the mo, but how m,uch am i going to need to replace it with? and is normal brake / clutch fluid ok to use, i.e halfords or similar?

You'll need to drain the fluid, and remove the tank.I used a bit of pipe and sucked it out!
Once the tanks off, you'll see an o-ring on the bottom of it,easy fix!

drain the reservoir and undo the two 12mm bolts and remove the reservoir.

I wouldn't put brake/clutch fluid in there though to top up.....

yea cheers guys

i wouldnt suck it out, your crazy! i know i would end up poisoned with a mouth full of fluid. i eneded up putting rags etc all round it, unbolting it, and just letting it flow! not the best, or reccommended, cause ive still got bits of fluid everywhere i couldnt mop up. hooing eventually it will all burn off.

anyway its sorted, will see in next few days if its stopped the smoking, and yea i got some proper fluid in the end.
