Default What needs fixing? Interpretation of CEL code please!

Have determined that the intermittent flashing CEL light is "P0245 Wastegate control solenoid valve circuit low input".

OK, great. Now, what does that mean . What do I need to check, fix, or replace?

I also have an occasional "P0335 Crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction". I know when this is faulty as the car won't start until I rock it slightly in gear - happens once every month or 2. Obviously the sensor has not completely died, but I guess I ought to replace it - or can it be cleaned maybe? What happens if it fails completely while driving - will it be an RAC job?

Crank Sensor failure will leave you stranded but its worth removing it and cleaning any oil/belt residue fron the sensor.

Cheers mate - just what I need!

My suspicion is poor contacts - the original 2 port's been replaced with a 3 port and initial suspicions are the connectors used to connect it.
