Default Goodbye Knock.

Tought I would put this one out there. For a while now I have had a loud metalic knock or clang which sounded like it was coming from the front right strurt every time I went on full right lock. It would then clang again when I came off lock. It was a bit embarasing when parking at tesco's. I thought I was gonna have to shell out for new suspesion (well I have all ready, but back to the point)

Then just recently my power steering sounded a bit noisey so today I toped it up. The dip stick didn't look that low, but a surprising amout of fluid went in. After this I went for a short burn and hey presto the knock had gone. Just like that, the knock had gone, and the power steering is now a gentle whir again.

Today was a good day!

Similar sort of problem here only had the car 6 weeks and started to get a knock didn't fancy shedding out for a new engine rebuild, found out my tensioner pulley was loose which was causing the knocking cost me £200 to fix but better than £1500+

Here is another cheep fix. My gear **** leather had got a bit loose, so I googled how to shrink leather. Turns out all you have to do is place it in boiling water for ten seconds. Came out slack still but as it dried it went tight, now as good as new and I saved £20 quid on buying a new one.

Funny,as it's usually cold water that makes things shrink!
