Question

Can anybody tell me whether the cast bottom arms from an early Impreza WRX have the same geometry as the 93 Legacy turbo, as one of my arms needs replacing. Also when the Imprezas went to 4 pot front calipers did the disc diameter change?

The 2 pots came with 276mm discs and the 4 pots with 294mm discs

(Don't know about the arms)

The wheels on my car are 16" and came from a MY99 car, with std 4 pots on, the reason I want to know is that I just bought some EBC grooved discs, - an excellent product when used with the red stuff pads - and don't want to change them if I upgrade to 4 pots.

PS thanks for the arm info, I'll buy the ones I've been offered.

so the rotors will be 294mm then. And they will fit if you took your wheels from a car with the 4 pot calipers already.

But note they did make a model with 17 inch alloys to make allowance for a bigger rotor with 4 pot calipers.

In the worst case you may have to buy the 4 pot hubs if the mounting holes aren't the same as you have on the 2 pot setup.

Most things on a Subaru are interchangable reasonabily easily.

Is that the aluminium arms? if so yes they are a straight swap.

The rotor size changed each time the standard wheel size changed, not sure of the exact years. I am pretty sure the 4 pot models did have 17 inch alloys to allow for the larger rotor.
