Default ARC baffled sump

Hi, I ve got the chance of getting my hands on a arc wide wing sump what do you reckon of these?

you can only fit standard headers with those as aftermarket ones will not clear it (unless modiflied)

The baffling in them looks pretty poor from what we have discussed on 22B. they are better alternatives such as those from Mark at Lateral.

Do you know how much the sump is from latteral? and how they rate compared to the cosworth baffle plate? and I have also heard AS Performance do a sump at a good price

The cosworth baffle plate is not a baffled sump it controls oil sloshing into the heads but it will not gtee to keep oil near the pickup like a proper baffled sump does. Having said that I use one and rate it very highly. Zen have the Cosworth Baffle Plate in stock.

I dont know how much Lateral charge for the sump but it is a properly baffled affair so expect upwards of £300 - maybe more.

ASP's sump is a std sump with a couple of drain holes and edges welded up. Worthwhile but it not going to do a full job.

Are you doing a lot of track work ? If not, do you really need one?
