Unhappy running probs on 94 sti

hi have just joined scooby net to try and find some advice about problem with my scooby.
when my car is warm and if i pull out to overtake and give her some gas she dies at about 4000-4500 rpm as soon as i take my foot off throttle a bit she picks back up, some times she clears after this other times it last for a while.
If this happens and i put my foot down she hesitates and picks up then dies again then it wil be ok and she runs like a dream. the car has few extras like ecu upgrade full exhaust system inc headers front mount intercooler and oil cooler lightened fly wheel , upgraded dump valve smoothed and ported inlet manifold, induction kit . would be greatfull for some help !!

Id check your coilpacks they are known to crack underneath the rubber.

This sound the same as the problem i had last week!! i got it sorted was simple in the end check this link out

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-problems.html

it sounds like you have a split in your turbo intake or induction kit or air filter!

i would suggest you take the turbo intake of and give it a real good look over!

will only take 10 mins work!

if it is the intake they are like rocking horse sh*t to find you will need to do the same as i did! the link provided explains all!
