orite mate, just took mine out for a 2.5 conversion.
there is 2 bolts and 2 nuts on the gearbox remove them, there is an allen key at the right hand side of the gear box 10mm if i remember right remove it, look in the hole and screw a bolt in the pin and pull it right out that will relaese the cluth arm enough to pull the engine forward after removing 2 engine mounts obviously. once there is a big enough gap between engine and box remove the clutch arm off the release bearing or u will damage it.
i used trusty blue rope round the inlet manifold and an engine hoist.
lift engine up out of the mounts just wiggle it till its free of the box and lift it out. easy as that. bit of hassle but not to bad.
hope this helps mate
