Default v car? anythink to worry about?

im thinking about buying a sti sometime soon

i was hoping to buy a modded 300+ sti blue one 01 on. however ones i seen are either too far or high milage.

i have a budget of 7.5k.

been looking around aint seen much couple i seen are modded but have 55-80k milage for around 6-7k

however i seen one in my area, he wants around 8k 34k on clock

but he saiid its a v car? also its a 2002 but on a 51 plate? are these anythink to worry about?

Walk away.
8k for a 51 plate STi is too much even if it isn't a v car, so it is way too much for this car.
Take your time and find a decent example, instead of rushing in and buying a dog.
Worth noting that a 51 plate car is 7 years old, so 70k is average or slightly below average mileage.
Personally I think mileage is less important than a good service history.

You know that being on vcar means that its been declared an insurance write-off, right?

this could be because it was stolen and the insurance company paid out before it was found, or because of accident damage that was too costly to repair.

I'd steer well clear......

at a guessm, that means paperwork was sent to the dvla to say that the car was no longer on the road, and then someone has come along afterwards and re-registered the repaired car.
