Default HELP! Bottom Ball joints!

Tried to fit new bottom ball joints today, and discovered that they are different to the ones I bought. Checked with the fella I got them from and he said that he's asked 3 different suppliers and that they only know of one type, the one he supplied me. Ive checked on ebay and they are all the same.

The one on the right in this pic is the one that came off the car:

They could well be! So would you say that the insert could break away from the thread of the old ball joint?

Thanks!

Login to Photobucket and click on the Upload Images & Videos tab. Then upload your pics by selecting the My Computer bullet point option, so as to retrieve them from your computer's hard drive (wherever you have saved them). After they have been fully read in, then just click Save and Continue at the prompt.

Then one by one, click on the option below your pics that reads with - it will automatically be pasted to the 'clipboard' memory. Then simply paste the text string into your SN post's edit box. Do this for all different pics.

When you preview or submit your post, hey presto, the text strings magically turn into your photos, lol... It's witchcraft don't you know

the ball joint you took off the car you need to heat the bevelled bit and knock it off then put it on to your new ball joint its just a seet for the wishbone

They are a bugger to remove though. A ball joint splitter will just hook underneath it and force it off. Slip it on to the new one and job done.
