I have a Mitsbishi Pajero, and I 'think' the turbo is on its way out as it is whining.

Now after doing a bit of hunting on Ebay for a turbo (to get an idea what I should pay), I notice that the turbo of the 2.5 diesel Pajero has TD04 on the side ..... As Here

Now, my question is, are they the same turbo, or does the turbo spin the opposite direction (as I believe an Evo turbo does ?) , as I have a good TD04 turbo that has only covered 35,000 miles that I took off my car that is lying around.
