Default Which Oil for Classic STi? - No debates please

Hi just realised its time for my oil change and didnt realise so ive gotta get it doen asap.

i dont want no arguments just want to know what make and viscocity oil everyone uses.. specially the tuners (harvey JGM etc) and the like..

ive always used motul 8100 x-cess 5w 40 100% synthetic from opie oils.. heres the link for oil and oil filter i get

Oil and Filter Service Pack SUBAC15D

can anyone recommend any better oil? i suppose the name and brand of oil that comes up most, ill give a go to see if its any better.

I don’t think they do a 300v 15w-40
The 300v is a competition oil but probably to thick if used in very cold weather in the UK unless you keep the car warm in a garage

I'm running 10W-60 (a little dearer than 10W-40, for the added hot-running protection). However, 10W-40 this time of year should be okay?

Bottom line, any decent 100% Ester fully synth e.g. Millers, Mocom, Motul, Silkolene (Fuchs)... And ranging anywhere between 5W-40 to 15W-60 would be okay I would have thought...

I think I'm correct in saying that Prodrive use Motul in their WRC Impreza(?)

Motul 300V 15w/50.

If I haven't been able to get my hands on the above at the time of changing then I've used Silkolene Pro S 10w 50 or Millers 10w-60 as they are just as good.
