Default Running lean

i have a 96 imported impreza wrx dont drive it much and have had a problem with power at high revs so i decided to have it dyno tested, and the results came back that the compression was 16/1 instead of the usual 10 or 11/1 and the car just miss fires at 5k revs all the time, was told its running dangerously lean and that the fuel pump or the regulater could be at fault.

But as im selling the car and dont have alot of money can anyone suggest anything or has anyone had the same problem and how did you fix it

when you say compression......I take it you mean AFR???

could very well be as simple as a blocked/dirty fuel filter.

have seen this blow a couple of engines.

.....suprised yours is still ok with a afr of 16:1
