should i change my fuel pump
I have been ringing round subaru specialist garages recently. I am thinking of having a decat pipe fitted and have the ecu remapped on my 2.5 wrx. A couple of the garages have recomended changing the fuel pump aswell but a couple have also said that changing the fuel pump without the injectors would be a waist of time and that the standard pump is fine for the 270.280 bhp i am hoping for.if anyone could give me more information on this then that would be great thanks.

The latter is correct. Your injectors won't come close to maxing until over 300bhp.
I'd find a good tuner who you feel happy with and go and have a chat with them- better than phoning or e-mail-if ur in good hands when the modding bug bites then it will save you money in the long run.

Your injectors are the same as the 2.5 STi, so they'll take you up to IRO 350 hp.
Not sure if they share the same pump though - if they do then the STi is already rated at 280 hp so that wouldn't need changing either.
