Default Drilling airbox

I am wondering whether or not it is worth me drilling my airbox on MY98 UK turbo? Has anyone done this? Did you have any running issues by doing this?

Thanks

I would have thought it would just pull hot air in. Leave it be

Mine was drilled when I bought it. It ran just fine. Sounded quite throaty, didn't really bother me that much so I left it as it was. If you do drill it, make sure you only make holes in the dirty side.

Instead of drilling it, remove the resonator from inside the wing and fit a performance panel filter.

Then its completely reversible! and less of a ''bodge'' tbh.

I drilled my airbox once when I was younger on my ford probe. The induction roar sounded great, but I wish I never did it because the car felt a lot down on power afterwards. My advice - leave it as it is!

there was a similar article on an accord type R site i was registered on, it was better to cut away all the webbings inside the air box with a dremmel, it increased air flow and on the dyno showed an increase

here is a link if it works
