Default C.E.L ON?

My engine managment light came on earlier today and now the car is not running well when on idle and it missfires from time to time aswell?

I have a hks induction kit and ive heard this can cause probs for the MAF so i unpluged the MAF when the car was on idle and it didnt stall?

Does this indicate MAF fail and how can i do a check to see what the C.E.L code fault is ive heard you can do a test so it flashes up a few blinks etc then get the fault code off here?

Thanks

Adam

im not an expert but from what i know is if it dosent stall when you unplug the maf then the ecu has taken over the maf sensor duties beckause the sensor has had enough! so yes your maff is knackerd.

Just done the engine light check and it came up with 2 codes,

23.......MAF(which i thought)

and then....

44.......turbo charging pressure control signal.

Now could code 44 be down to the fact i have got a greedy profec 2 boost controller set up on the car?

Any help please?
