had remap about 3 months ago runnind 240 bhp and boost on standard td04 was running a safe 1.2 bar.had no probs so far,today i took out the simota racing panel filter and replaced with genuine subaru filter,took it for a test run to find that not only does the car feel quicker as if its boosting slightly more but i found in 4th and 5th gear that i would hit boost spike.....seems a bit of a coincedence that this has happened exactly when ive changed the filter,would this make any difference?ive checked that the filter is installed correctly and that the hoses etc are all as they should be...now im thinking of putting the dirty simota filter back in as this never happened before,any thoughts people? really frustrating!

 

oh , and the check engine light did not come on,which seemed a bit strange considering it overboosted,or misfired etc.
