hi just a quick question i have my car caughs and splutters at low revs when just starting to drive it untill you put ure foot down and then it clears so thats the 1st problem. so i thought id replace the plugs with some nearly new ones i had, however i fitted these all correctly and the car barley run at all! i put the old plugs back in and it ran ok but is very missy!!! ig driving in 3rd or any gear you can feel it going and then slowing and then going ect ect!!!

any ideas as its confusing me!!!

well that went before and i replaced it but seemed to still judder! and today has got worse since the plugs got messed around with!

 

Can you borrow some coil packs of someone to see if it makes any difference swapping them over? I'd check these first as you said playing with the plugs does make a difference so the problem might be with a coil pack breaking down.

 

has the engine light come on?

does it feels lumpy/hiccupy when accelerating?

 

yeah it sort of pops and farts iunder hardish aaceleration and is poping and banging alot more than usual, was being followed by a mate and he said it was flaming loads si assuming too much fuel isnt getting burnt!

engine light hasnt come on, and poss coil pack but then its weird that it just went all at once!

 

I would say coil packs as well as a good possibility.
Also to take into consideration would be the coolant temp sensor, as if this is giving the wrong signal to the ecu (telling it the engine is cold when its hot) therefore overfuelling the car and making it run like a bag of bolts!!
