Default missfire?

Hi guys, ive got a turbo 2000 on a 2k x reg which has developed a missfire under hard driving.I had it on the rollers at scoobyclinic and they found it was overboosting so changed the little brass restricter in the pipe on the turbo and told me to see how it was after that but its still doing it.It had new plugs about 20k ago and a new maf fitted a couple of months ago.Has anyone got any ideas?.Would really apprietiate any help

I'm no expert at all.......but 20k for plugs? I'd change them to start with! On ever car I've had I've done them after 10k max.

i had problem with my fuel pump when i turned the boost up from .7 to 1bar. It wouldnt supply enough fuel for high rpm/speeds and as soon as i reached 120mph it would hesitate quiet violently and not go beyond this speed. Fitted walbro255 & problem solved, since mine is a 1995 car the original pump would have been tired anyway so maybe take a look at that for starters.
Failing that e-bay 4 coil packs £195 easy to change.

but as the op says it is overboosting so how does a fuel pump make it overboost?your problem was not enough fuel to match the boost that you adjusted,or you hit the fuel cut off,his is just the fact it is overboosting with no intention of touching the boost.
