FUEL pressure...

Default FUEL pressure...

when i took off the hoses at the fuel pump in boot there was no pressure would that determine the pump aint workn and keepn pressure up??

Not necessarily, best way to check is to turn the key on, the pump should run for a few seconds then. Disconnect either the supply line to the fuel filter or the return line from the FPR and have it emptying into a container when you do this.

The supply line will most likely have some pressure in it so when disconnecting it take precautions against spills and flames.
