exhaust flames
hi all,
short of putting a spark plug in the exhaust which i would never do. how is the best way to get flames to come out of my exhaust when driving aggressively?
cheers

^ no kidding, me too. It probably does but you don't see it. Close to redline on gear changes with the DV delete usually gets mine going. Not to mention Simtek ALS a few minutes after start up.

when i have the anti-lag on it bangs like mad when using the gears to slow down but even at night i never seem to get any flashes out the back. i have all my work done at api cause they are local to me and helpful. david from there mentioned it could be down to my exhaust but its nice to have a second opinion on things. i agree i also thought with my mods it would of done it with relative ease even with the anti-lag off . should i expect to hear different noises when and if it does it and is it bad to have that mapped to do it?
cheers

if it was mine then i would be looking into the "fuel map" for the anti-lag. size of the exhaust can play a part to how loud your pops and bangs are but never notice a differance is flame size etc.
also worth taking into account that if you had your anti-lag set up before some of the other mods where done ie larger turbo then this can play a part also.
your anti-lag would of been set very mild so good for pops an bangs but thats about it as its a road car. more aggresive settings could be had but at a cost.
