Default What turbo does JDM STI7 have?

Just starting to save for some decent upgrades now and after decat and remap will think about upgrading engine components. Not entirely sure what power the car is pushing out but only mods on the car (which I know of) when I bought it was a baileys dump valve which will be replaced for oem recirc over the weekend; a scoobysport backbox and what looks like an induction kit leading in to the side wing.

As title says, could anyone please tell me what turbo comes as standard in a JDM STI7? and how much power is this safely good for? Thanks

Jon

The JDM STi 7 came with the VF30, it should be good for about 340bhp maybe a little more.

Thanks Banny. With standard internals, would it be capable of taking a VF34? or another question would be; what's the largest turbo it's capable of taking on little or no extra supporting mods?
Thanks, appreciate your comments as this is unfamiliar territory for me.

The VF34 is not really an upgrade as it is the same size but the only difference is that it is ball bearing.

With little or no additional mods I would only go as far as a TD05-20G, this will get you in the region of 400bhp give or take 10bhp.

The standard internals are strong on the version 7 as it came with with proper forged pistons, as such would probably cope with around 430bhp.

You could even put a 321T and run it at 1.6bar as per Jimser
