Default Exhaust gasket question

I recently purchased a 2nd hand Blitz NUR Spec exhaust for my classic.

My question is do I need a gasket to join the centre pipe to the backbox? As I only have a 2.5" gasket and the pipework is 80mm/ 3". Can I use this gasket or can someone point me in the direction of an 80mm gasket?

Many thanks

Andy

Is this the correct gasket?

Asked this of my local exhaust fitter on replacing both my back boxes. There wasn't a gasket fitted on either car. "Normal" he said as he handed me some white gunge in a tube to squirt around the joining face before fitting the Prodrive backboxes.

Neither was leaking before, nor have they leaked since.
Begs the question if gasket is money well spent?
