Default Vac hose??

I was working on the Scoob last nite and found a vac hose coming from the top of the throttle body and just dangling down?!?! (has a metal elbow coming from it the the vac hose attaches to the elbow) Now i looked on a newer classic and this pipe goes to the bottom of the inlet manifold. Cant see for the life of me where this one goes on mine? also does anyone know what its perpose is? Thanks

If it's an early classic like mine then this hose ends up in one of the two inlets on top of the black charcoal canister (fuel emissions evap or something). The canister is located next to the ABS on the driver's side front.

The hose goes down from the elbow on the throttle body onto a metal pipe which feeds under the manifold & reappears at front of driver's side fuel rail. Then a hose feeds from there to the inlet on the canister.

Either your hose has slipped off the metal pipe or if the canister has been removed, which is often done, then this could be why yours is just dangling & has probably been plugged off. Hope this helps.
