Default Burning Oil!!!

Hi guys
I have an impreza classic on a w reg turbo 2000, the last 3 or 4 times i have started the car in this freezing weather there has been some blue/black smoke from the exhaust only lasts around 2 mins then goes clear, the car is only really used at the weekend and has only done 60000 miles and has an uprated vf34 turbo which i bought brand new 1 year ago, the only thing i can think of is a stem seal gone??? any ides? should i be worried about this?

cheers in advance
Rich

Sounds more running rich than anything to me. Checking the oil level will tell you really whats going on.
If you use it only at the weekends then let her warm up and don't rev the engine until its up to operating temperature IMHO

Possibly because of the recent very cold spell i.e. more fuel enrichment on startups
