P1711 & P1131 Fault Codes
Afternoon all:
Took a run out in the car today and on the way back along the M3 I gave it some beans. The CEL came on and I checked for fault codes with my PSI3.
First code that came up was P1711 (Engine Torque Control Signal 1 cct malfunction) and then P1131 (Fr O2 Sensor short cct).
Fault codes showed up at different times and when I switched the engine off neither showed up. I reset the ECU and nothing came back on but I was off the motorway by then and had nowhere to give it some stick.
A while back I have the CEL come on twice during a spirited run but bith times when I stopped and switched the engine off (but not the ignition) there was no fault codes visible.
The subaru manual gives me a load of tests to do to check voltages, resistances etc, but it's cold and dark. Can anyone shed any light before I make plans to get under the car over the Christmas Hols - also anyone tell me where the TCM is before I go scrabbling about (I suspect that this is a red herring as I have a manual gearbox and surely this is only for the auto box )
