Before I start dismantling the car, does the v7 STi up-pipe have an O2 or other similar sensor in it ?

I have some v9 headers and up-pipe ready to be wrapped and fitted, but just seem to remember seeing a sensor screwed into the up-pipe on mine, the v9 pipe doesn't have the boss for a sensor to be fitted..

Any ideas appreciated !

 

There isn't a sensor on your up-pipe. It was only found on the newage WRXs (01-05).
If the up-pipe you are going to wrap has a boss & sensor, its the wrong one - it will also have a cat in the pipe and won't do you any favours.

I thought there was a sensor on the std pipe fitted to the car, from when I have been under the engine in the past. The v9 one I have sat in the garage does not have any boss or cat on / in it.

Hopefully it's just me dreaming it then.. I suppose I'll see when I get under the car..

 

On my02 sti the wide band o2 sensor is located in the collector pipe just before up pipe , the standard sti uppipe also does not have a cat .
