Default arp head studs protrusion measurment

fitted my heads and camshafts and as i turbed cams slightly a part of the cam catches on the arp stud, its not in enough, tho they r hand tight as the instructions say. a easy fix is to loosen heads and put studs in further.

but is there a measurment of how far the studs protrude from the block before i fit heads ?

The studs are not fitted correctly if one of them is hitting the cam.
You need to ensure they are run right down to the bottom of the threads in the block - use an allen key (3/16th ?) to make sure they go right down and just nip into place(but dont tighten hard) with the allen key.
Quite often the threads in the block need to be cleaned with a tap/chaser prior to fitting the studs.
