Default front offside suspension knocking and its not droplinks

getting a knocking from front offside suspension only on medium to large bumps. at a real slow speed i wouldnt get any, but at a greater speed i get it. really annoying.

1995 wrx saloon. are there any other causes of knocking on the front?
recenlty replace the front drop link that side. front ARB bushes are a little worn, but still seem to be solid. sounds like part of the strut itself

Sounds like it may be the ARB bushes or the shock absorber. I had a similar knocking on my classic and replacing the front ARB bushes (even though they looked ok) got rid of the knocking noise.

ok great, will give it a try,

depending how expensive they are is it worth goibng for a whiteline arb bar? or is there not much difference to standard when fitted? and just get decent poly bushes instead

ive got the alloy wishbones, is that just the balljoint on the end of them your referring to?

would that mean a complete new wishbone?

Nope - the ball joint pops out of the end of the wishbone. They are £25 from Subaru main dealer and are easy enough to change.
