On my V2 the small straight silicone you circled is located behind the a/c pump under the intake manifold & just connects two black metal water pipes together.
Follow the hose that leaves the bottom of the header tank & goes inbetween the legs of the intake on the driver's side. This connects to a metal pipe that stretches across the block to the passenger side. The small silicone straight in your pic may connect this pipe to the next metal water pipe that then goes down towards the next silicone bend that goes to the water pump (i.e: look inbetween a/c & inlet & you should see it)
