Oil Pressure 93 wrx RA
Hi All, just wondering what oil pressure others get with there cars. when i first turn my car on the oil pressure guage goes straight to 100psi and once warmed up it sits at about 20psi, when driving it goes upwards of 90psi. is ever1 else's the same?

when its cold the oil will be thicker hence the higher reading when cold amd 100 psi is probably about right (im assuming you r gauge only goes upto 100 psi)
When warm I would say in my opinion 20 psi it maybe a bit on the low side but it should be okay if it isnt fluctuating (assuming thats idling)
around about 90 whilst driving (foot planted) is not far off I would say. With my 92 classic when I had it, during driving it would be around about 80 - 90 but idle I think was a bit higher than yours.
I would say no need to worry, unless you get a big difference in similar driving conditions

yeah guage is to 100psi and it sits at about 20psi on tickover i know it has a leak somewhere so would probably be a lil higher on tickover. when driving pulling away etc the pressure goes up to 80-90 psi and then say stopping at a set of lights its down to 20psi again if you rev the engine the pressure goes up then returns to 20psi again once on tickover.

as long as its consistent, you only need to worry if it starts being different to what it usually is, say running at 50 psi under boost instead of the usual 80 - 90 (assuming oil has been changed frequently and is at the correct levels etc etc etc)
