Default wrx v4 turbo

can you tell me what turbo comes standard in the V4 of wrx and sti.

i have seen different results on my search.

Assuming you're talking about the saloons then:-

- WRX... IHI VF22
- WRX STi Version IV... IHI VF24

(Depends on what Subaru had lying around at the time )

As Joz says above Subaru had the habit of using bits and bobs of what ever bits they had laying around the production line....or maybe they had some extra engines of one sort and decided to use them on a newer build scoob.

Nothing new mate, but surely leaves a few chaps out there with unique scoobs hehe.

V4 is MY98, isn't it?
Didn't the wrx's have Td04s then? Or is it different betwen euro/UK and JDM?

Yes. MY98 (Sep 97 - Aug 98). Officially, Subaru only marketed the "Version..." tag for the JDM STi variants.
