Default Which Pre - Remap Mods?

ive got a remapped booked in mid january on a 1995 wrx import. Want to know which mods are reccommended before getting the map done? have a crappy fuel and timing HKS F CONS which cant raise boost itself.

What mods are worthwhile / cost effective?
already have equal tubular headers, 3" decat downpipe and afterburner vortex decat.

Recently bought a hyprid FMIC off 340bhp wrx off here -cheers for that
Warlboro fuel pump, neither fitted yet.
What else before map? and is buying a boost controller the only way to see any realy gains from any mods, or would i still see gains from standard boost?

im looking for a slightly quicker but also reliable road car for daily use. after this remap i wont play around with th engine anymore

Fit what you have and get the remap. After that you may want to look at picking up a different turbo but for now go with remap.

ive been suggested 440cc injectors / raising boost route.

would i need a Fuel cut defender and adjustable boost controller - any ideas on cost? or if its worthwhile

You should source 550cc instead (as the components you have can get close to maxing 440cc). 550cc are good for around 350bhp then you start to get nearer to their max duty cycle.

best to ensure your solenoid (for holding boost) will be ok if not then get an AVCR boost controller. I'm no expert so you may need to ask a specialist.

When you say re-map, what do you mean? Are you getting the f-con mapped?
I'd sugest fitting 550's(i have 440's, and replaceing them with 550's after 5 months!)
Have you thought about the ESL live ecu? It's more money,(£550+vat) but excellent. Also, fitting a later map sensor will let you run more than 1.1bar boost. I have this setup, running 1.35 bar, and its great! Fitting the 550's in a week, and getting a map to run bio fuel,E85, and maybe a little more boost!

would i be safe 1.1 bar, with that FMIC, Walboro and 550cc or 440cc injectors?

"Are you getting the f-con mapped?" yes was gona get the above mods done and then get the F-con mapped. how come is there any issues with that, or things i dont know about?

for that sort of level then the 440's would be fine, but bear in mind it wouldn't leave huge amounts of room at the top end if you want to push em further. sinc eyour buying a ste then 550's would be the better choice

assuming its still got the td05 turbo then you should be getting towards mid 300's with that turbo, while the 440's will do it (mine is running 340bhp with 440's on a vf34) its way up the scale of there potential, 550's arn't too big to cause issues with slow injection, but will give that little bit of saftey and also more if you want them too

sorry my bad typing, i ment that since your gonna be buying a set of injectors anyway, wether you get 440's or 550's, then better option is the 550's

ok, will see if i can find a set of 550's then.

so hybrid FMIC, walboro pump, tubular headers, 3" decat downpipe 2/ 1/2 straightrhrough afterburner vortex, 550's a dawes device set to 1.1, or 1.2 if i can get another map sensor, then F conS remap.

Any ideas what this should produce?

and i know theres a argument about fitting a fmic, but is it goin to be safe to get these fitted then drive down off boost a hour or so to where its being mapped? can i fit any before the drive down?
