Default Will an ECU loose it's map over time?

I have an ECU which i bought about 12 months ago been sitting idle under the bed. Will it loose the map that is on it after a while?

No it won't lose it. They have a sold state memory.

Stray cosmic rays could damage the silicon...... not likely
